Position Summary: Designs and develops scripts and processes that automate the deployment of software applications. Ideal candidates will use existing knowledge and experience in conjecture with problem solving skills to create solutions meeting both internal and external business needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Writes and maintains functional and technical specification
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure solutions can be deployed to various environments
  • Converts designs and specifications into computer code
  • Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in the compilation process
  • Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirms that the program meets specifications 
  • Analyzes codes to find causes of errors and revises programs
  • Consults with internal users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs
  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections
  • Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs
  • Applies basic knowledge of company's core technologies to perform duties
  • Drive improvements to processes and enhancements to automation

 

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related degree; or an associate's degree in computer science

  • 5 years’ experience working in a software development capacity

  • Significant experience working with PowerShell

  • Strong experience with SQL

  • Experience with automation/configuration management

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) build and deploy pipelines.

  • Experience with test automation to validate builds

  • Experience using Git version control software

  • Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude
